All night—the radio fuzzed winter storms
So you woke to see street-side trees shivering
Their tops coated in icy porcelain sky
Their bent skeletons proof of an airy heft.
School’s in the tri-county area cancelled today,
Metro service will be delayed,
Expect extended commutes
So with nothing to do you stood in the window
Your frame bent like a tree burdened with ice.
