As time forever moves slowly on
So the sands drift over the dunes
The breeze tumbles small grains along
Softly singing its windblown tunes
Under blazing hot skies of azure blue
Nature forms sculptures of bright red-gold
Deep, dark sides lend ghostly shapes
As mile after mile unfold
Vast, hostile beauty shimmers
Bleached bones testify to its might
While the hot sun burns relentlessly
The chill can be so raw at night
Out of the blue, a harsh wind blows
The land changes contours again
Ever changing patterns, never still
The desert is a secret terrain
Untamed and wild with its own will
That mankind is unable to master
Beneath its depths within the earth
Greed heads toward its own disaster

you've painted a beautiful picture of the desert...and the incredible powers of nature. Love the rhyme, love the poem.

Good write. It was a little choppy in some places, but i enjoyed the rhyme and overall feel of the poem. I liked how you wrote about the desert changing as the wind blows. Anyways good luck and thanks for the write.
