A Better Place

I didn’t think it would affect me
When you got taken away
But now there’s heavy raindrops falling
From an ugly sky of grey

You were a charming person
And even more so, an excellent mother
Adding to the package, an amazing grandma
With a kindness like no other

You are a top notch lady
Who can fight with all the best
But now it’s time to join Gods army
It’s finally your turn to rest

I see your daughters weeping
And I hope to make them strong
So I give them each half of my heart
To remind them you’re not gone

You will be missed and cherished
And always hold a place in our hearts
We have to remember the good times
Not the ones we spent apart

You’re someone that is unforgettable
And can never leave our minds
For awhile we'll be feeling
Like we didn’t get enough time

But God needed you and so he took you
To be with family and friends
So now is your time to be in peace
This is where your pain ends

But still I ask myself why they took away
Such beauty and such grace
But we all have to remember now
That you’re in a better place

    Touching

Seet, simple sentiments. I'm sorry for your loss. Mostly flows well, although stanzas six and seven could be fine-tuned. Thank you so much for sharing. You seem like a very strong individual with lots of faith.
