Repentance

Distorted images float across the surface,
The sand covered glass offers no help,
The distant cries of the woman burns my ears,
I am no help,
For i am stuck behind this deepened web of lies,
Is it to late?
To change who i am

I open my eyes, and the dirt flows in,
I try to move,
nothing
Wait, a breath
My arm breaks free,
I am almost out

I am free, free at last
But i cheered to soon,
and now i am back in the sand
Anger takes over and i know i must escape
Repent these dirty deeds
And my sins forsake

I cry out for help,
Can anyone hear
Then a light comes up,
a golden sphere

The mud dissapeared and now i can breath
My eyes bleeding tears
I look into his face,
My son, there is no need to fear
Your sins are forgiven,
Your miss deeds forgotten

He left me then with comforting words,
My son i will always be there for you
So now i know i have help in my life
For he lived and died,
And gave me his life

I love it! This was such a terrific write...and you must be a very talented poet if you can write so brilliantly in something not your style as you say.

    Wow

This was so beautiful. It really touched me. I know we all go through hard times and you just portrayed it so beautifully. Thank you for entering. This was my favorite part:

He left me then with comforting words,
My son i will always be there for you
So now i know i have help in my life
    For he lived and died,
    And gave me his life

There's nothing more comforting in this world than knowing Christ is there and He loves you. Thank you.

    Not your style???

It might not be your style but you wrote really goo in it!!! Is it about like you not knowing if it's to late to turn your life around?? Then Jesus, right, tells you that he'll always be with you. Cuz he's the one that lived and died and have people his life. This is a wonderful piece or work here!!!!! I like the lines where it says " He left me then with comforting words// My son I will always be there for you. Those are some great lines right there!! Can't wait to read the rest of your poems!!! =]
