A Raven,
Is calling me home.
Wind whispers through the trees,
I think of how I could be free,
If the world were more nurturing.
A solitary tear, meanders over my dirt-encrusted cheek,
I stand,
Angrily swipe it away.
I'm too old for tears,
I've seen too much.
I must move on.
Author notes
I know it's eleven lines but they are short lines and wouldn't have been so effective joined together.

I think you handled this prompt nicely. I really liked...
"A solitary tear, meanders over my dirt-encrusted cheek,
I stand,
Angrily swipe it away.
I'm too old for tears,
I've seen too much.
I must move on."
Those lines enough would have described the image well
thanks for entering and good luck. be well and be blessed
