Stairs [freewrite]

stairs
they take you places
intrigue your interest

i love stairs to nowhere
the ones destruction forgot
their whole existence is to reach upward
towards the heavens

i think stairs are fantastic
and whole lot safer than elevators.

[ever hear of people getting stuck in stairs?]

stairs have to be one of my favorite things
which is a tad bit lame
who loves inanimate objects that much?

and the worst part about it
is that there aren't any
stairs at my house.

[well there are four or five all together
on the porches, but that's a different story]

stairs can go up or down
depending on how you look at them.
they're great for pictures
and they're easy to draw

they take you places
to explore forgotten attics
and long abandoned cellars

    This is cute, simple, but deep in its own way. Very straight forward, but I liked that the second stanza was my favorite, especially the line of destruction forgot =D very interesting.

    After reading this i tripped up my stairs sure it was chasing my dog who had my shoe is his mouth. great write my freind

    Funny thing. I have heard of people getting stuck in stairs. lol One of my best friend fell through her stairs getting stuck in between stairs.lol anyway now about the poem. I like this. Stairs are interesting forms of architecture. I like them because at some point I cna be taller than someone else.

    I like stairs, and this really lets other people in on our stair obsession. You can sit on them too. The middle step of a long flight of stairs. Or at the top, and you can watch everybody coming up the stairs.

    For a freewrite, it had very good construction. It sounded planned. I chose this one because I thought it was weird to see a poem about stairs, but it's a very good poem. It seems vague and silly on the exterior, but I suspect it has deeper meanings in it.

    Hahaha, yeah you do not hear about people getting stuck on stairs but elevators we do all the time. A good poem.
