Help my doubts and unbelief
Help direct my stumbling feet
Show me paths You'd have me tread
Take away this pall of dread
Help me Father to trust and seek
Know my heart-though it is so weak
Only You who have the light
Can bring me safely through the night
In You I live, move, have my being
Forgive me for not always seeing
How my own acts hold some small charm
Because You touch me, hold me, in Your arms
Oh loving Father
Please, please, I pray
Walk with me, don't let me stray
Shine in me...make this darkness bright
I want to be a Child of Light...

I speak to in prayer as well. I speak in my own way.. but I relate to this. Our eyes and hearts only see so far until we are blinded by our childish wants etc..sometimes..the master design has direction we know nothing about..as I believe it is an everchanging design..beyond the scope of one being's comprehension. Sometimes.. the highest spirit reaches down like the embrace of a mother..and you know..somehow that it will be ok..there may still be hell to see through..but there will be another side...the light is so much brighter after the bleakest darkness.
