Destruction suddenly hits
by earthquake or terror attack,
in its own destroying way
it's painted the whole town black.
At times brought down by storms,
a tornado, floods or such,
left to suffer in pure horror
as a result of facing so much.
The destroyer in a rabid rage,
loss of hope brings inner pain,
blown to pieces inside out,
a darkened cloudy rain.
Pain and suffering all around,
destruction marks its path,
there are some we can't ignore,
left to face the aftermath.

Interesting
Destruction can visit very suddenly, leaving a real mess both in human, and in material ways. Did you mean to put there "Are" some we can't ignore on that 2nd to last line? Thanks for entering. -
This didn't make me jumpout my seat, but it is a very good expression and more of what I'm looking for. You make finalist!
