The sun rises and softly bathes
Nature with its first golden rays
Rippling waters glitter
Wakening songbirds twitter
Grass writhes gently in the breeze
Leaves whisper softly from the trees
Answered by the deep croak of a frog
A heron watches silently from a log
Mother Nature exhibits her talents
With an idyllic scene in perfect balance

Good luck in the contest. This is a great piece of writing. Wonderful flow and amazing imagery. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen in hand.

I am glad you enjoyed it. I think the flow comes from listening to ballads and gospel music. Other than that, I have now clue.
