You were free from the bars and the cuffs
And came running to me for a hug
I had missed you so much
And we both bawled on each other's shoulders
Now we can get back to life as we knew it
You sat down to play your steel guitar
And the first song you played
Was Together Again
And I cried
Because I knew we would never be split apart again
The tears have stopped falling
And the key to my heart
Is right back where he belongs
And came running to me for a hug
I had missed you so much
And we both bawled on each other's shoulders
Now we can get back to life as we knew it
You sat down to play your steel guitar
And the first song you played
Was Together Again
And I cried
Because I knew we would never be split apart again
The tears have stopped falling
And the key to my heart
Is right back where he belongs
Author notes
the guy in my poem does play the steel guitar and he made me two cd's one of which had this song on it. Together Again made me bawl my eyes out, because he is my best friend and he is in jail for something he didn't do. When we get back together, I want to never let him go again. WingedWolf

Good write!
This is really amazing! You and your friend have gone through really hard times and you have brought that passion through very clearly. Good write
and good luck!
Sincerly,
Em
