nature shows the world in a whole new light,
wraps us in a blanket,
so we're warm and dry,
but we always chose to leave her grasp.
we've spread our wings
and flew away,
so soon were out of her sight.
and though she calls us back,
and now her voice is hoarse,
we carry on our dead end path,
ignoring what matters most,
our heritage,
our earthly roots.
???! i hear you say
*sigh*
we aren't made of plastic or tin,
unlike the world that we live in
we are coddled in our lives
huddled together in our hives.
we've lost all that was ours
using computers, planes, cars...
we are no longer natures children
its all because we never listen.
we left her because "we were right"
but can we yet survive the night?
the evidence is plain to see
take a look inside a tree.
no matter how hard she tries
by us was poisoned, so she cries.
she weeps with sorrow, never joy
we treated her like a toy.
*sigh*
i've had enough
it isnt fair
we treat them so badly,
and expect them to care
its not like we showed them love
and you know im not asking much
but natures really suffering now,
i can barely feel her touch...
Author notes
please dont ask me for a lecture on anything because i often get REALLY worked up, i gave a really long lecture on global warming and mon parentes were like O.o . seriouxles, it's quite hard not to say "WE HAVE RUINED THE EARTH" without saying those words. i used an odd form here XD.
