Imagination infuses perception with feeling,
so that a landscape might fill us with wonder and awe,
or, returned to after many years,
with nostalgia, or, under moonlight,
with serenity, and so on.
All experience is charged by the imagination with feeling,
so that life is accompanied by a music
to which we listen only intermittently with care.
Some contrast imagination and reason, as though
the two were opposite rather than complementary.
But both are present in every moment of experience,
as what we evaluate and catergorize we imagine
rather than sense directly.
In fact, sense data would be incomprehensible
if not shaped by reason and imagination working
together as two aspects of a single process.

I like this, it reads as a pleasant psychology essay in poetic form. Would probably help me to understand my old psychology assignments better if I had it at the time. Nicely written! x

Line 7 needs a space between a and music. You sound liek a poetic scientist

You astound me with your insight! Not only have you lived and learned, but you possess the talent to put into words your teachings. How profound you are. An insightlful read.

I had wondered on the response this would get. I have spent many hours in contemplation recently. I only hope my words can be a lesson to others also.
