Fog Breath

Missing image

~~~~~
Death follows me around
like a puppy
always sniffing my crotch
and biting my fingers
with it’s sharp little baby teeth
I wonder why it annoys me
that I love the smell
of its musky hair
and hot furnace eyes
that promise
a warm furry comfort
against the cold
all alone
of the bright white light
at daybreak
It must be its yappy need
for all my attention
that starves the mind
and feeds the lower half
with such silly speculations
Coz that damn dirty dog
ain’t warm at all
and its breath stinks
with the dew of the dead
fogging the windows to my brain
and leaving its shit on the floor
for me to step in
    I shall finish my previous comment now, Madame Librarian. This is an incredibly dark, stark, ripe penning, my Friend...one that astounds, amazes & petrifies, all in the same breath. Ya skeered me, Karen. Beautifully penned, Sweetie. Thank you for entering my contest. Good luck, Tbaby. Wander Lea
    I like the turn you gave it at the end, showing just how deceiving it's warm appearance can be. Good luck in the contest. >pixxie<
    Sheeeeeeit!
    Now I'm looking askance at my puppy. I'm a bit too sensitive to the voice from Sylvia's oven, a bit too close to the last moment I had to fight for each half-breath.I feel the breath on the nape of my neck.
    Well done...
