Knuckle-sized diamonds,
Flaunted and flashy,
Two carats or more
Decorating those idle hands,
Mocking my stone;
My simple quarter of a whole.
The giant gems may capture more light,
But mine sparkles with adoration
And the beautiful clarity
From his careful choosing.
My diamond is eternal,
And so is my love for the one who gave it to me.

So very true! It's moreso the giver than the gift isn't it?
thank you for your entry

The size of a ring or even the type does
not give us a measure of the amount of
love behind it, which you say so well.
good luck in the contest.
