As I lay here wrapped in my sheet
I think of where you could be
I want you here with me
I don’t want to accept defeat
I miss everything about you
I can’t believe your gone again
In the land of military men
I wish my dreams were true
I long to feel your breath against my chest,
Your soft whisper in my ears,
I feel like I haven’t had you in years
I want this to be the best
Missing you so bad hurts me inside
I want you tonight
I want you to hold me tight
I want to never let or love hide
I want to get lost in your touch
I want to tell you a naughty thing
I want you and all the lust you bring
I want you so much
But of all that I want the most
I want you here with me
So that you smiling face I can see
Baby, come home to me!!!

My prayers are always there for them all honey
The bravery of our service men and women are held so very high and all their families I also pray for every night . To see them through and brought safely home is the prayer for the bravest ever known . God Bless you honey and your husband for without them and you this country would truly fold . We shall surounds them all with our prayers and bring them all safely home

Fantastic!!!
I don't have a husband in the military, but I have a brother in it, so I can feel your loss (without the sexualness of it because 1)it's incestuous & 1)it's just plain awkward lol). Anyways, this was really well written and I enjoyed it. Thanks for entering my contest -good luck! -
I can relate to this composition and I admire the honesty that you portray within it!
Good flow of the unforced rhyming verse--Well Done!

Thank youu for entering my military contest. It is easy to tell that thisw poem was written from the heart. Those emotions definitely show through.

This isn't your fault ... but I have seizures and can't look at this bright background long enough to get through the poem. The text runs into the border which makes it hard to read also. In line 4 letters are missing and it should have been corrected it because it was critiqued a long time ago. I read the comments as well as the poetry and if the poet ignores things like typos and spelling mistakes ... well I don't DQ but it has no chance.

You forgot to put "Prayers" (without quotation marks) in your author's notes. If it's not there by the time I close [around 11:00 PM eastern standard time], I'll DQ this.
Thanks in advance
