A pear, a mandolin
molded in native honey
and oil voice.
We gaze at each other,
taste ripe
hear carved perfection
moan.
A collaboration of love.
The need to touch
to mingle
in juices and strings.
An ancient tune
gracefully painted
in fruit
and wooden words.

I like the comparison of a mandolin to a pear, and vice versa... the hard and the soft shapes and sounds of love. I've found something extremely sensual about this poem - well done. The mandolin is one of my favourite instruments and you gave us its music in a juicy, oily voice.
Thank you for this lovely entry.
