Analogy Of Love

Petals slowly unfold to welcome the sun
after long cold and dark winter days
Stretching out velvety arms
towards the warmth of the light casting rays

Opening up with vibrancy and life
emitting sweet fragrance on the breeze
Appealing to all the senses at once
with an ambiance that certainly does please

This beauty is shared for all to see
filling hearts with happiness
Creating sensations as sweetly as
a soft, yet a passionate caress

Congratulations on the honorable mention, it was well deserved with this piece ... the last stanza is my favorite, it is so beautiful... the rhyme is subtle and not horribly forced, the flowery imagery is wonderfully done

    Keep writing
