Whisper

Acutely aware how your presence surrounds me
I rest peacefully in your lap
Deep sighs expel my fears
New this feeling, yet so familiar
Never have I felt so serene

 

I hear words I have heard before
Yet this time they are with me
Close, your breath blows like a summer breeze
Caressing me with each move of your lips
Never have I felt such bliss

 

Resting your head against mine
Warmth awakens me slightly and I feel protected
How so does touch soothe the soul?
Hearts increase grows with the heat
Never have we been apart....

    Beautiful

    Your writting leaves me breathless. I love your choice of words. You should consider taking out one of the so's in the first stanza. It takes my mindset away from the mood of the piece. Great poem! Keep writting

        you could even leave one of the so's there .. but two in a row to me sounds not right. I am also not too keen on repetitiveness lol.

          thats cool I agree usually just didnt notice this time for some reason lol altho intentional repetition is quite effective when used properly.
