It was only a kiss but I floated on air
A kiss on the lips and another for spare
And now I've a feeling the whole world can share
I think I have fallen in love
You said you must go and I started to sigh
I felt a small tear at the edge of my eye
But a touch of your lips and I find I can fly
And now I have fallen in love
I wanted to stay but that wasn't allowed
So there I remained as you merged with the crowd
And then as you left you shouted out loud
"I think I am falling in love"
It was only a kiss but now there are more
The next time we met there were just three or four
And now every day there are score upon score!
It happened when we fell in love
It was only a kiss at the start of the game
But that was the kiss that now takes all the blame
If you don't get a kiss it's a terrible shame
You may not have fallen in love

this is a very sweet poem. i felt like i was flying when my bf and i kissed for the first time. the rest of the day i was flying and couldnt stop smiling i was in love at first sight but the kiss finished me off i was really in love. this was a great write and hope to read more of your writing soon.i hope things work for you.

this reminds me of a song. because the rhyming is so accurate, and the flow so perfect, I can totally imagine this being sung. It makes me think of something that Mario Lanza would have sung. It is so nice to read poems that have perfect flow like this.

A kiss is a kiss, I tell you this,
A kiss that I could surely miss
Is the kiss from the lips of a Mr. or Mrs.,
Packed with such wondrous bliss.
You and me to some degree,
Forgetting all we do believe.
Shunned or shy it couldn’t be,
The kiss of death for you or me.
Woman or man, what do I care,
Lips are blazing for me to share.
Could it be the brunette hair?
Or the strawberry blonde with subtle flare?
Heat my lips with a velvet touch,
Hands to hips, moving on and such.
Soft or hard, it doesn’t make much,
Just make it fulfill a lovers crutch.

yes we can all dream of that one special person to fall in love with, can't we. but you say it just the way it is and it amazes me how we can feel such love for that person. to the extents we'll go to keep that love going. good job and good luck

A dream is wonderful when started with a kiss
For you know that it will be very hard to miss
When lips touch for the first time
Is like a perfect poem in rhyme
Gracing the pages of life itself
So never put it upon the shelf
Remember that kiss through out your days

I did like this for some reason it felt like a bit of a song to me because of the semi repeating lines at the end of ech stanza well written best of luck in the contest
