Daddy's little girl
hides beneath twisted moments
that lead upwards
and onto shredded linen ~
she still cries
in white silence
that tumbles down metal steps
and onto her broken cradle
where the bough wasn't her demise ~
but dark hands
that couldn't keep themselves from baby skin...
