Bitter cold
A song, a sound

A flea, a spec
A leaping tick

A new day
The sun sublime
A bird, a climb
A brook, a babbling
A treasure find

A creek, a crack
An ant in the crevice

Soil, ferns
And fertile soil scents
Honey and bees
Candy and trees
A kitten, a mitten and fifteen cents

Around the bend, a three wheel sends
A ringing bells toll
To sound alarm and give fair warning.
The lollipop kid
Is on his route
Dripping sweet sticky gum drop saliva
On the best dressed in town
Wishing all a goodmorning

Splashing puddle water
From curbsides
Onto the best
Of an early summer
Sunday dawning
