Late at night,
I look up at my glow stars.
Wishing on the brightest one.
That all my dreams would come true,
and when I sit there and think,
when its quiet and I let my mind wander,
some how you always find a way,
to sneak back in, and I wonder,
why do I still care?
If the past is the past.
Than why are you in my present thoughts?
Why cant I let you go?
Why must you always be in my head?
You're like a bad song lyric,
playing over and over again,
and I wish I could forget you,
and I wish I didn't care.
But I do and I sit there,
and I wish on the brightest star,
That I could forget your name.

There is something just so unique and appealing at wishing on glow stars. I dont think I've ever encountered that image before, and I like it. I also like:
You're like a bad song lyric,
playing over and over again,
and I wish I could forget you,
a familiar feeling. Break-up poems are hard, they are so common and its hard to be original, but I think you succeeded very nicely. This was a very good write and I enjoyed it quite a bit. -

oh this is sad but i disagree with the very end i dont think you should forget because yes we may wish we didnt remember but if we didnt remember the bad times we wouldnt realize how good the good times ar

i like this one. very nice, filled with longing, not exactly for someone, but to let someone go. you want to forget, but you can't. i know that feeling. i like the title, it is orignal. good luck -
