Guardian Angel

He stood there before me
An angel in the night
He brought out light so I could see
And protected me so I did not have to fight
He wiped away my tears
And held me in his arms
He told me there was nothing to fear
For he would let nothing bring me harm
He fought away the shadows
That had plagued me for so long
And now I finally know
The place where I belong
I belong beside him,
My guardian angel
He opened his heart and let me in
And caught me when I fell
