Shadows of the Night

I lean against the wall
Knowing that i might lose it all
Continuing to try to please the ones who follow
They are inside my heart, yet it is hallow
There are thoughts in me that will not leave
Sometimes I cannot continue to breathe...
I tried to leave this place in one piece...
Yet there is so many times that time has stood still

I lean against the post
Knowing that this unknown place has an ugly host
I cannot find where I am to go
I cannot seem to let my heart glow
