We are the World

You generate hate when you determine the fate
of a person's life for the choices God creates.
"He who has not sinned may cast the first stone"
which means drop your weapon and leave my soul alone.

If God made you straight, and God made me gay,
if God gave you joy but gave me dismay,
if God made you love, and God made me kill,
who are you to judge what is God's will?

I am the flowers. I am the trees.
I am the earth. I am the seas.
I'm inside you as I'm inside me.
I am exactly what God wants me to be.

You condemn yourself when you condemn those who sin
for all of us hide a sinner within.
Be it lying or cheating; raping or killing
we all have, at one time, played the villain

so accept yourself for who you are
and love the life you've lived so far
and love the lives of others too
'cause everyone is a part of you
