The air is still and silent
in the corner of his room
Family watching, waiting,
hoping, praying he will wake up soon
His face still silent and cold
where once there was warmth and a smile
They're crying, weeping, begging him to remain
while he wants to let go
His prayer being heard, here am I to answer
As the ascent begins his soul breathes a sigh of relief
a moment or longer passes
I feel their hopes, their pleas transition to sorrow and grief
To one I bring an end to pain
to the surviving, the beginning
For one I am a welcome demise
for the other, evil angel

This was a great interpretation of the song! I was really happy that you didn't just restate what the song had said, but actually put a story behind it. I also thought that it was powerful for you to have the title of the song as the ending words, but the last stanza was a bit confusing. I also thought that the title was very creative and fit really well! Great job and good luck in the contest!
