Listening to the Words on the Radio

I remember the days when I said I was in love
Singing songs on the radio that made me think of you.
My blood boiled, my heart raced, I sang at the top of my lungs.
To hear those words, every song talking about me and you
It was as if it brought meaning to my life anew.

Today I remember those feelings and so strong the emotion.
I revisit those days when no one could tell me otherwise.
I thought I was invincible like I could fly or walk on water,
All I wanted was to be with you forever and always.
I never thought we would make it this far in all my days.

We are still here and we are still strong still living the life.
I don’t know how I found happiness but I’m happy now.
I have found that it’s something no one can take,
However it is something I can give, so I spread it to all.
I write this just to let people know where I ended up after my fall.

It seems I have made it out of the despair I was in.
The songs I once sang play in my head and now I sing them again.
