Sitting at the bar, those catchy pop tunes playing on shuffle,
I may look sophisticated in my grey dress, eat vegetarian sushi.
But underneath, I'm still wearing my sun-bleached converse.

The vivid green of the avocado reminds of the rolling hills in Ireland,
Where a person can wish for nothing more than to roll in the soft, emerald grass.
All this time, I have caged my emotions, up until that one early morning at dusk,

The world was still asleep as I ran around naked in the rarely bare avenues.
I scream impulsively to the death of religion, buried somewhere in the midst of war.
I see the rose garden in the middle of the steep hill on the way to the ocean,
As the drift of lillies and warm lemon scent run through my senses.

The ocean brushes against my toes, just like my rippled pool, magnified to infinity.
I see my friend spying at me from over the palm tree, as he is hiding, I seeking.
I feel like a detective in my black beret, my dark, mysterious eyes peeking over my dark sunglasses, confidently seeking my victims.

I love the three lined way you wrote this. Sushi, ooh can't stand it, but then again I hate seafood. This was nicely done! x

Mmmmm, sushi. my favorite food. You make me hungry, haha.
But that's beside the point. I like how you've worded this piece. The imagery is very profound and bold in this write, and I can visualize these images perfectly... Very flowing as well.
