Raindrop Rose Petals

Raindrop rose petals;
but a simple gift.
Fallen from grace,
so softly,
so gently.
Collecting cool waters,
in hopes of redemption.
Yet, shunning the warmth of the day.

Blood-shot red,
like wide eyes of fire.
Searching, burning, questioning;
seeking great unknown.

Calm and loving,
harsh and distant.
Far away, alone;
stepping into the shadows,
from even the closest of friends.

Raindrop rose petals,
these are our hearts desires.
The mangled, strange wants,
of a mangled listless life.
Raindrop rose petals,
these are the thoughts of our minds.
Our twisted sick,
intolerable minds.

Raindrop rose petals,
their beauty does entice.
Raindrop rose petals,
nightmares running wild.
Raindrop rose petals,
the human way of life.

      I do my best. Sometimes people don't quite see the metaphors though. Glad to know this one as seen. I liked the title as well. It was just something that sounded cool. So I started thinking. It's amazing what my brain can do when I decide to use it. Haha

    I really like the imagery and alliteration here, it makes the poem flow really well. The metaphors and symbols portrayed here are excellent too!

      Thank you. Alliteration? I must have missed. If there was any it was unintentional. Unless you're refering to the title. Once again, thank you. I try to give people something to think about. Sometimes it works others it doesn't. Lol
