When it’s dead silent,
Best be quiet
Let your mind go away,
When she’s violent
No one comes running from the background,
Even when you scream at the top of your lungs
Not a single person ever even looked twice,
Even when the sounds of your cries resound
Your body’s all black and blue,
You’re going to run away
Where are you going to go?
You don’t have a clue
You say you’ve really gotta get out of here,
You just don’t think you can’t take it anymore
Your body shakes just at the sight of her,
Every day is just another round with the fear
I try to soothe you,
I try
It’s useless,
You always knew
You say everything’s always better when she’s high,
She’s just always a lot happier to be around
But when she’s comin’ down and she needs more blow,
Well, I guess you say it’s just the time to say goodbye
I guess now you’re through,
Give you a hug, and watch you drive away
Now that you’re gone,
I can tell you, I loved you
