Life Giver

Hearken, spirit gods, hear my words

Woman I am, goddess, nymph

No rib made me flesh

No man has power over me

I stand before the winds

of destruction and am not

blown down

What a man can do

I can do

I accept no dominion

No slave am I to any man

From my loins springs

the universe

All life is whispered

in my name

Genuflect at some fount?

No, come pay me homage

and I will bless you with

continuity of the species

fed by my breast
