Daddy

I was stuggling to find a way,
To put right this ultimate wrong,
Maybe I would have said goodbye,
If I knew all along.
But I know by now it wouldnt help,
If I had said goodbye,
Because I still lost my father,
When you lost your life.

I miss you so much daddy,
But I want say goodbye,
And tell you that I love you,
And I wish you didnt die.
You may not have been a saint,
But you were still my dad,
You may not have been the best,
But you were the only one I ever had.

Author notes

Really bad rhyming, and a wee bit cliche, Im aware, but I wrote it for my dad. RIP Daddy, I love you *heart*

I absolutely loved this one!! the emotion was wonderful.. and i really got the feeling that it was coming from the point of view of a younger child, though i am nit sure if it was meant to be that way. Wonderful job. You are very talented!
