The flower rises up,
beauty as its way,
takes a wink at nature
and blossoms for the day.
Gentle rains bring hope
to the lowly flower,
sun shines down its peace
and gives it growing power.
The scent of blooming flowers
fill the fresh clean air,
it shows of its true worth
in a garden growing there.
Among the other flowers
standing tall for all to see,
happiness has come to stay,
a gift for you and me.

very lovely
Excellent! -
This is a sweet poem. I like how you said in the first stanza that the flower winks at nature as it rises. Almost as we wink and blink as we open our eyes to a new day. That was my favorite part. I also like how you take me through what the flower needs; sunshine and rain. I also like the ending...how you say that such a small and delicate thing is a gift. I agree. You poem is tender and sweet, I really enjoyed it. Thanks for entering and good luck!
