Mystical Moments

“Mystical moments”

Tiny glitters of laughter,
    Starlight lavender skies,
            With the moon  half hidden,
Behind sweet sorrowed sighs.

These      are my
          Mystical moments…

My
    Stomach swells of life
  My
        Back aches of pain
                        Can’t believe it’s finally time,
                        To expose the heart to
                        This body of mine.
                                              To give myself
                                                    Into the world.
                                                      A Baby.

Mystical moments…

    To hear a beep,
      Beep no more.
To see – peace,
          Melt into war.
  To watch the light,
  Fade to black.
                          To feel their  IMPERSONAL  hands
Inside  of my suddenly BLACK soul
…………………………………………………..And feel it die
…………………………………………….. inside… Of me

Mystical moments,

I need to
            scream and screech
          An animals cry
While the sudden stab of why’s
overwhelm the smile on my husbands face
      Pain emerges
      Explodes toxic waste
        Killing innocence within its path

And I shove - hate him away
      “Get AWAY” I say.
        I say “Get Away!”

Breathing fails
      beneath pressure
death is here for she and I
dinner for two  -    in hell

Mystical fucking moments

And then he holds me, so tight, and I close my eyes.
He says not to worry, it will be better next time
We will try again, and I love you still
And I
  Rebirth – in him
And I
Share the sin – in him
And together
  We vow to try again

        Together we vow
                        To try again.

                                Mystical Moments

Author notes

this is a mystical moment in an of itself... i recently read a book where the mother had miscarraiged five times and the sixth time she'd made it through their full term... and then in labor lost the baby... her hustbands father without telling the husband went to her and asked her "how much she wanted" to leave his son and give his son a real life because as a jew they'd survived everything... but he told her he feared they would not survive her. that she would kill off their line. it was horrible... and i think a true mystical moment... a real... real moment is when a woman loses her baby... and her husband is there to say its okay. and that they will try again.. and that something like this (so catastrophic) wont break them because they love eachother...

i dont know... maybe that is just me.

OMG, the poem and your note made me cry. You are right about the loss being a mystical moment as well as the husband saying its ok etc. Another amazing Mystical Moment is the feeling of a life growing inside you and then seeing the life be born. And each day that they share with you are Mystical Moments as well. Nicely done! Good luck in the contest.

    Hugs,
    Vampi

    Wow!!

Powerful piece You have penned and I just cried from the images and the energy of pain through loss of life but also with the Author's comments regarding what the father n law had said...that was cold also callous

Love the presentation for I felt this spiral...
from the beginning seeing the rainbow arch then it began to contort, change shape with reality of what was experienced
This tugs at the Heartstrings Powerfully so

    Magnificent!!
Thank You for sharing Your Heart also Voice~
Keep that quill dancing my Friend
Many blessings to You in the contest Sweet Soul
    Best wishes too
    and much love~ Desire~*~

Thanks much for the comments Vampira.
I am glad my poem was felt and experienced... though of course I would never want anyone to experience a miscarriage... of course.
