Forest in the night
Silent you call
Could it be I’ve fallen
For you Nightingale song
Starlight dances with the shadows
A beautiful waltz in time with the wind
Seen because I’ve followed your path again
I do not fear what I cannot see
Your glow is clear enough for me
Always wandering but never lost
Home to my broken heart
Hidden away in your branches
I can be the real me
Forest in the night
Though you may never belong to me
Here I am Free

hmm...yes.
But I definitely think you could do more to it. Congrats on the silver. :] It's a good poem, but you could've added more imagery and made it more powerful.
Thanks for entering. (: -

This is very intriguing. I really like your descriptions and allusions to the darkness. My favorite lines were, "Starlight dances with the shadows, a beautiful waltz in time with the wind, seen because I've followed your path again." Very beautiful and mysterious. This is a nice addition to my contest. Thanks for entering and good luck

Wow! This is truly wonderful! Although you never mention anything (or anyone) other than yourself and the forest, it seems as if there is someone else there, someone with whom you associate the forest. This very soothing. Good job!
