laying in the womb of life
for those who left but returned
this litter box like container
keeps him safe
from outside influences
nearly lost, unbound from chord
put into incubator-like machine
fed, oxygenated and warm
till able to live by himself
on his own - or kept here till death

This poem has quite a dark edge to it, but that fits completely with the picture actually

I think I've found a little oopsie in your fourth line: 'hims' -> 'him'
Thanks for entering the contest!
