a gentle caress with warm lips
inhaling your scent
strong arms, rough hands
your gentle fingertips
tracing lazy circles all over my back
lying close, entwined, skin against skin
holding on fiercely with all of my might
looking deep into your eyes, lost for tonight
alone in the universe, beneath the star filled sky
bodies united, just you and I
co-owner of my mind, heart and soul
never wanting to let you go
whispers of love, fidelity and devotion
there is such beauty in this,
your emotion
eyelids closed
deeply breathing
keeping you near
awake with a start
my eye sheds a tear
in my dreams every night
once again you appear
haunting my thoughts for eternity
