She is mine

her beauty
like a revelation

    is mine …
    but not her being

stuns my senses
with lingering impressions

    she is mine …
    but not her being

radiating from love
with guided wisdom

    she is mine …
    but not her being

sensitively dosed
into this being of mine

    but not her being
although I know she is mine …

.

Author notes

I wrote this poem with my wife in mind. She often says to me: "I love you lots!" This humbles me to think that there is such a person of this earth, and that God willed her to be my wife.

    Wonderful, wonderful ...

tender, proud, endearing poetry. Simply beautiful. She belongs to you, yet: you set her free to be who she is.

Ah, Frans. A happy marriage is the BEST gift one can share with one's children. She will love you forever LOTS -- I can tell!
