Raindrops, they lash against the window
seeking entry to within
But they never succeed
They are constantly denied
They hack away at the glass shields
like an army settling in
for the long haul, the siege
Thunder is their battle drum,
tapping out the coarse
low and angry beat
Lightning is their weaponry,
cracking the sky
and smashing into the ground
as if they were javelins and pikes
thrown as hard as soldiers could
The raindrops come until,
simply,
there are no more

I liked all the comparisons to rain and lightning as instruments of war. Truly a unique perspective. I did notice a spelling error...Liek should be like. I really enjoyed the stanza in which you compared lightning to javelins thrown by soldiers of the skies. Nicely done, thanks for entering and good luck!
