Once again I sit under the stars waiting for -
Chance or fate to take my hand & run with me -
Escaping the mundane existance that is mine -
Not because my desires are ordinary but scary -
As momments turn into minutes, hours, & days -
Enhanced by the open visions awake yet dreaming still -
Capturing images of everything as the mind embraces -
A star shoots over head as wishes go up -
Silent prayers are offered up to God the giver of signs & divine knowledge -
Forever woundering what the book of fate says of me -
To far to travel in the natural to find out even if the sages permit me -
Running in circles chasing dreams & fantasies of what could be in life -
If only I the wisdom & power to pull down his ear in confidence hearing -
Father, it's me again & I'm in need of you as always -
Please give unto me the means to over come the present -
Bless me father so others may see that good folk too can prosper here ?! -
Where the poor dream only to have dirt thrown in their eyes by life -
Whose hearts ache with want of what they have not -
While waiting under the stars for chance or fate -
Run away with me on the wings of the wind -

This poem moved me in ways that I can't being to tell you about. We all find ourself looking for a reason why we are here and if we could just fly away everything will be ok .....You wrote a beautiful poem here with such meaning and I thank you

This is a poem that moves my heart. I recall the struggles of the past in which I turned against The Light out of frustration of not being able to find answers that would satisfy my inquisitive mind in ways that most are entirely unable to perceive or imagine. Yet nothing is impossible for The Light and I was led over bizarre paths through space and time to a point where I was given answers to the questions that you reflected upon in your excellent poem. Perhaps if you have time you would care to take a peek at:

where I attempted to phrase the visions I was given. The conclusion in the penultimate verse express the essence of what many were unable to figure out. I did not find this myself as becomes clear in the article. Spirits of a time when the dictatorship of the 'official' religions of the world was not yet in place and functioning still had access to sources now destroyed by the dark spawn of the churches. I enjoyed reading your pondering and I hope you will be successful in the contest. Take care,
Chris
