Good morning, night;
tread carefully
as you creep away,
that you do not trip
over your shadow.
Hi there, sun!
Your beaming smile,
peeping though eastern clouds,
warms me at the start
of a brand new day.
How were my friends
on t'other side
and up-over?
Did you smile on them
as you do on me?
Or were the storm clouds
too thick for you
to break through
their black blanket
that would not disperse?
I shall enjoy
having you around today,
until night creeps back later.
In the meantime, my friend,
have a good day!

I enjoyed this, there is something very charming about it
indeed...

Interesting concept. I liked the line "Good morning, night;
tread carefully
as you creep away,
that you do not trip
over your shadow."
That was my favorite part.
Very cheery and bright. Nicely worded...good luck and thanks for entering!
