What kind of wine
Would I'd be?
A Classic Borduex or Chianti
A Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from Tuscany
A red, a rouge, a blanc or a rose
For a tongue to swirl in tasting
For eyes in waiting
And my scent from a
Grand ballroom gown
Balloon Round glass
A nose antcipating
Who knew that from a spit
There would a taste
That only few could savour
As it would from a pallate paste
What only Connoiuseurs
Would consider
In majesty splendor; taste
A flavour
I would rather be a grape
Than a seed
For who knows more of a child
Than its own mother
And who knows more of a wine
Than its grape
A merlot is wine from a merlot grape
And the others are blends of many
But the Chianti (wine)
From the Sangiovese (grape)
Of Castellina and Radda (mountians)
Has no more heard the songs
From the shepards in the hills today
Fiorentini, Pisane, Senesi, Rufina and Arentini
Have all devoured the rights
Of the classic Chianti
To be shared and worn
Completely withdrawn
From times of wine, men, women and children song
Baron Bettino Ricolasi
Has made new law
Thus that the origination of
Great and sublime wine
Will no longer to
Mother nature or God it belong
But to a mix of cousins
A for less than heaven
A new era of grapes be born
Who knew that from a spit
There would a taste
That only few could savour
As it would from a pallate paste
What only Connoiuseurs
Consider in majesty splendor
The taste; of scorn

"I would rather be a grape
Than a seed"
I like this part though I think it should be switched around. You named so many wines you must be a true wine connoiuseur! I feel that you have taught me something. Thank you for your inciteful entry.
