starting over

Going on and facing life...i walked out in the sun today
I raised my head up... high and proud and began to walk that mile
Shedding weight from my pack... slowly it became much easier
And now I'm walking... down that road
And throwing things away... not waiting for them to fall
Leading my life
Starting again
It's time to move ahead

Good for you for lightening your own load, and freeing yourself to move ahead. We all need to do that sometimes in order to heal and grow in life. This write is very inspiring, and I am sure many people will be able to relate to it. You have done a nice job on this poem! Blessings, Patty

A very uplifting poem. You conveyed the feeling that you had seen and experienced more than you'd like to have been through and still had a ways to go even before i read the authors notes.

That's a very optimistic poem The best thing is to always look at the brighter side of life; rather than going back, we should always move forward to reach that light in the end of the tunnel! Great write, i love the idea, and your words are well picked..

starting over is one of the hardest things to face. it's difficult to shed away the mistakes of your past. it's even harder to start over when you've just lost a loved one and you have to start over without them. but you have to do it, and you're right, it's time to move ahead. it's time to walk into the sun and let it go. thank you.

I think I know what you've been through. Might have something to do with how long we've known each other. Beautiful poem, as always. You're so talented, it makes me a happy panda. I'm glad that this one showed up, too...

There is a lot of truth in this...sometimes moving forward can be the hardest most difficult thing to do. I'm glad you're writing again. It's a great outlet. Also, I really enjoyed your poem! Thanks for sharing.
