I'm a country girl at heart
got a bad attitude with my sweat shirt that says I don't give a fuck
I like down home cooking and fried chicken
I wear my daddy's old football jersey to the hight school games on Friday night
when I graduate it's off to Texas I go
to rodeo
Horses got me woke up, showed me poetry in motion
nobody speaks louder to me than a running horse
I lay awake at night and scribble dreams and pray
I wish the world could be happy
Like if I were to ride a big black horse across the Texas ground
smelling the most beautiful garden, barren sage
or if I swam across the pond
or ran a perfect pattern
my cowboy hat flying back
my stubborn soul sending my horses feet faster
never changing always the same
one two three four beat
