God Bless The USA (Acrostic)

Golden fields of wheat and grain
Our God above sends springtime rain
Democracy won in war long past

Beautiful mountains and prairies vast
Let freedom ring throughout our land
Endless splendor of canyon grand
Sea to shining sea wonders seen
Spacious skies and woodlands green

Thankful for our soldiers brave
Home fires burn let our flag wave
Endless support for one and all

United together as we stand tall
Sweet liberty comes with a price
A prayer for soldiers who sacrifice

    Interesting

I live in a country that hasn't been to war since the last world war. We are not used to loosing loved ones and collegues like you. I did enjoy this, it made me stop and think about an emotion that is new to me.

This is amazing, you have really touched my heart with the words of this poem.

Sweer liberty comes with a price
A prayer for soldiers who sacrifice

This line is extremely touching, and even though I am not American, I still feel a massive swell of pride and thankfulness directed to those brave soldiers out there fighting with my country's soldiers, for my freedom. You have penned this amazingly, it's beautiful.

    Beautiful.

This is truely beautiful and so well done. I can just see the country in it's splender of your words. Not just the land but the people who have made this country that is so great. Somehow I truely hope that this new generation will learn to live with the values that were instilled in our generation by our forefathers. The pride in not only the land but the laws and consideration of other folks. You have done a very wonderful job with this and I surely hope that you win this contest for I believe that you have portrayed the essence of our country very well. Good job I loved this.

Excellently done. You have captured some of what this great nation has to offer. But most importantly you have remembered those who have made sacrificies to keep this country free. Proud to be an AMERICAN!! Where we are free to be free and God does reign.. Truly a pleasure.
