Thoughts cannot be hidden, they mirror my mind,
rays of light penetrate my very soul,
each beam a far-reaching, elongated finger
settling at my feet as if in abeyance.
Red petals fall, revealing my heart as it bleeds
each droplet diluted as the ocean offers it's kiss,
clouds part in candescent prayer revealing empathy,
oceanic spray coupling with my sighs reveal hidden depths.
I give myself up as doves wings skim turbulent air,
carrying with them the breath I breathe,
each heartbeat follows a solitary petal one by one
until I turn from grey clouds and face the imminent sun.
