Rose petals fall to the waves
As a message departs from my lips
A chant to live and let go
Let the memories fade and flow
A dance that'll end at our fingertips
A new road the flower paves
Your love is like an ocean, I'll never forget
But I'll let the salt water take it away
Let the sand diminish beneath my wrinkled toes
Knowing that this is how the story goes
I turn my back, never turn to look or sway
Never live my life full of regret

Oh what a great poem and wonderful how you let lost love go which was hurting you! I loved how you just let it go in the oceans never to look back. Awesome!

ahh smart. but i stand by my rules.
“A contradiction can not exist in reality. Not in part, nor in whole.”

Ahh very creative and i respect you for being able to make something so beautiful. but dont rose petas float?
-
-
yes, they do. the contradiction of putting under water creates the rising wonder if petals, being submerged in water long enough, can sink to the bottom. and how long will it take before they begin to fall...? lol.
there's also the thought of "you fade away like rose petals under water"... you never actually fade away... it's almost impossible to rid the thought of a love
