Sometimes when I sit down to think
it ends up just being so much stink
I look for words to say what I feel
others may thing it's all some spiel
My feeling flow like water over the dam
but often come out like I'm some bad ham
I'm too old now to care what they say
about what I do this whole live long day
I learned long ago, my happiness matters
so don't bother tearing it into tatters
criticize me daily if you think you dare
I might come back yanking out all your hair.
I have the right to what happiness I find
if you don't like it, then kiss my behind.
because, contrary to popular belief, I can
find some happiness and still be my own woman
