political race, speeches, debates
promise of economic healing and a
brighter future for our children
healthcare mandate, affordable of course
tax breaks and credits for the rich and poor
rallies held all across the land..
champain toast, from fine crystal goblets
expensive attire and caviar...limousine
escorts, butlers and chefs...$400.00 haircuts, oh yea!
firm handshakes, beautiful veneer smiles,
elegant dress, prim, proper stature
running like trained athletes up golden ladders
each audience is different,
blue collar factory workers, and farmers in need
doctors, lawyers, with power and greed
actors on a stage
rehearsing their roles
p.r. guidance, most words not their own
read between lines,
search deep in their eyes
trying to decipher, what's truth...what's lies
pockets full of green, little gucci totes
spoken lies and deceit, just to get a vote
republican, democrat, it matters not
the greenest one...will get to the top!

This made me smile to myself, the truth is so evident and you worded it so well. This is a great piece of work.
