introspective salutations
I welcomed sadness.
You introduced strength.
Every moment before,
just primed me for this;
for you and barroom eyes.
Long-lived embankments
become windowsills and balconies.
dissapation of reality in the race for honesty
Track down my footfalls,
I lay me out for you.
refuse to waste our walls on this
We'll fight over who comes first.
Hold me up,
I'll hold you steady,
This is how a resurrection feels.
Author notes
two subtle musical/lyrical references if you can find 'em

Good, but confused.
I only use this website every now and then. But, it is always to look at what you're up to. I think you've got real talent. But, here, I think you're constrained by poetry. I think you've more to say than will fit on the page in lines. Have you written any short stories? I think you should. Send me one?

I absolutely love the last line. I wish I had thought of it first.
You just have to watch out for sounding too obscure (or maybe I'm just not getting some of this). And you spelled "dissipation" wrong.
Other than that, nice job.
